The Bits to Chips sequence is unique in the U.S. Students learn all of the steps in creating a microprocessor from architecture to integrated circuit layout, compiler programming, fabrication of an actual microprocessor or similar circuit, and testing. The total experience will prepare you for practically any career in microelectronics. The final course in the sequence, Frontiers in Microelectronics, teaches state-of-the-art processing technology and discusses future directions in microelectronics technology.
